Job Description:

The Modern Languages Department at Greenville University seeks applicants for a one-year, part-time position in teaching basic-level Spanish.

Required:  Minimum of 18 graduate hours of Spanish, with teaching and travel abroad experience to Spanish-speaking countries.

Preferred: Master´s Degree in Spanish with teaching experience.

CONTEXT FOR THE POSITION:  This position offers someone who loves the Spanish language and culture the opportunity to gain valuable teaching experience in their field.  Reciprocally, it provides the department and students competent and diverse instruction.

GREENVILLE UNIVERSITY:  The university is located 50 miles east of St. Louis in an attractive residential community of approximately 7,000 people. Key Responsibilities:

The teaching load for this position will consist of 1or 2 courses per semester.  In the fall and spring semesters, the instructor will teach sections of courses such as Beginning Spanish and Selected Topics in Spanish.  No advising or committee responsibilities will be expected.
