Key Responsibilities:

Part-time accompanist and piano instructor beginning with the 2014-15 academic year.  Accompany Vocal and Instrumental Students, College Choral Ensembles, and other Departmental Accompanying duties.  Potential for teaching private lessons and class piano courses.  Possible travel with College Choir. Approximately 12-15 hours of accompanying per week and 1/8-1/4 piano teaching load.  8 Month Position – Fall & Spring Semester (Late August-Late December; Late January-Late May).

Chair and Director of Choral Activities

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or artist diploma. Choral and general accompanying experience required.  Excellent reading skills. Ability to play open score. Evidence of successful collaborative work with soloists, as well as in choral setting. Experience teaching both private and class piano desired.  Strong technical and musical skills as a performer.  Acquaintance with both classical and commercial musical styles desirable.  Commitment to working with undergraduates in a liberal arts setting. Must maintain a professional appearance; be in sympathy with and supportive of the Christian mission of Greenville College.
