WHO WE ARE:
The Factory Theatre is the theatrical producing arm of Greenville University. Founded in 1973 by Dr. Cecelia K. Ulmer, our company mounts productions in a former glove factory, a space that we believe reflects the rough and regenerative spirit of the work we aim to do. The Factory Theatre is currently managed by Alex Freeman, an experienced professional actor, director, and writer. He lives in St. Louis and works as a freelance actor and director, and as the Artistic Director of Ozark Actors Theatre in Rolla, MO. He holds an MFA in Directing from Western Illinois University.
OUR MISSION:
We are dedicated to the performance of meaningful plays. We exist to produce challenging, delightful, and timely works within our campus community and the Greater St. Louis Area. Likewise, we strive to be an artistic community that cultivates the liberally educated theatre artist at Greenville University.
