About Han Shi

Dr. Han Shi joined the faculty of Greenville University in 2017. Dr. Shi holds a Ph.D. degree in Finance from the University of South Florida, M.S. degrees in Accountancy and Finance from the University of Glasgow and Free University Amsterdam, and a B.S. degree in economics from the University of Maastricht.
Dr. Shi specializes in empirical analysis, particularly in taxes, insider trading, and behavior finance. He presented several papers on various major finance conferences such as Financial Management Association, Eastern Financial Association, and Florida Finance Conference.
Due to his passion to teach, Dr. Shi was granted as the best teaching assistant award from the University of South Florida in 2014 and has taught many finance classes such as Corporate Finance, International Finance, Working Capital Management, and Financial Markets and Institutions.
Dr. Shi is a faithful believer and currently an active member of Christian Alliance Church of Tampa Bay. He believes that his life should be dedicated to living with the Christ. In his spare time, he loves cooking, swimming, walking his dog, or travelling with his wife Amanda and other family members.
