Support, teach, guide international students in the University Pathways program at Greenville University. This position will be involved in all aspects of the students’ life on and off campus while they are enrolled in University Pathways. This position will help connect students to campus life at Greenville University and work with faculty and staff to ensure all students thrive.

Wendy Smith has over 11 years of experience in higher education, including teaching experience in the United States and abroad. From 2008 to 2012 she held the position as Assistant Dean of Women at Greenville College. She then taught English as a Foreign Language in Ulsan, South Korea at a public middle school instructing 600 students weekly. She later served as a professor at Kosin Unversity, in Busan, South Korea, teaching English as a Foreign Language to both undergraduate and graduate students. Wendy spent the last three and half years as the Director of Career Services at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. While serving at Hardin-Simmons University, Wendy designed and taught the first freshmen level writing course for ESL students. Wendy has a B.S. in Youth Ministry (minor in Behavioral Science) from Grace College, as well as master’s degrees in College Student Affairs from Azusa Pacific University and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Regent University. Wendy is passionate about setting students up for success as English language learners and enjoys all aspects of the learning process. Wendy is honored to be returning to GU as the Lead Instructor/Assistant Director of University Pathways Student Services.
