The Master of Arts in Education degree is designed for current teachers wanting to earn a Master's degree. Specially formatted to meet the time constraints of educators, give emphases are available:
These programs are designed for teachers who wish to continue their professional development by earning an advanced degree:
- Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.
- Tuition for the coursework and research component is $350.00 per credit hour.
- Locations: Special Education is offered in Greenville, IL; Godfrey, IL; and Centralia, IL.
- Reading is offered in Greenville, IL and Godfrey, IL.
- Course format designed especially for professional educators.
- 3x3 program allows for teachers to finish coursework over three summers. Teacher Leadership and Special Education are available in this format.
- One night a week format is available for the Reading emphasis. Start dates are to be determined. Contact the Admissions Coordinator for Education Programs for more information.
- Tuition credit available for supervision of student teachers and field experience students.
- Transfer up to 6 credit hours of comparable undergraduate or graduate course work - dependent upon the program requirements.
Student loans are available by filing out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). A graduate student is eligible for up to $20,500 in student loans.
