Special Education Endorsement

Educators who desire to enhance their teaching skills and become state qualified to teach exceptional children can complete the Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement. The program consists of four courses:

• Diagnostic Assessment for Special Education (3 credits)
• Practicum in Special Education (1 credit)
• Characteristics of Students with Disabilities (4 credits)
• Special Education Methods and Materials (4 credits)

A prerequisite to this course is completion of the Exceptional Child course.

2011-12 Costs

Special education endorsement courses are offered at the graduate level. The cost of the 500-level courses is $396 per credit hour. Tuition and fees total $4,850.

Book rental is included in tuition which means textbooks for all of your classes will be available with no extra out-of-pocket costs.
