2016 President's Report

Inspired Learning in the Classroom and Beyond

2016 President's Report and Year in Review

Greenville College has entered its final stretch toward formal recognition as Greenville University, and the President’s Report edition of The RECORD, just out, highlights memorable events from its last year as a college.

The issue also salutes the College’s faithful Financial Champions whose record-breaking generosity gave Christ-centered learning a boost on several fronts.

When GC becomes Greenville University June 1, its freshest institutional memories will include:

  • A year of firsts in athletics like the first time in GC’s history that three teams qualified for NCAA tournaments in the same academic year (Congrats to Lady Panthers in volleyball, basketball and softball);
  • The launch of engineering studies on campus; and
  • A year of learning beyond the classroom where students led worship, served in other countries, partnered with businesses to address real challenges in the marketplace and gained hands-on skills through internships.

Also read how GC received generous funding to expand studies in Christian unity and moved forward toward fully funding the Donald N. Bastian Chair of Pastoral Theology, Philosophy, and Ministry.
