Biography

Native of Gomel, Belarus, Sasha Viatrov enters his third season with the Greenville Panthers. In his previous two years, Viatrov worked with both the men’s and women’s teams. Sasha was responsible for different areas of the program including recruiting, goalkeeping training, running session, and administrative duties. This season Viatrov will be working primarily on the men’s side as a top assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.

Viatrov has extensive playing experience. Viatrov grew up playing for a professional academy under F.C. Gomel. At 16 years of age, Viatrov played in the Second Belarussian Division for F.C. Gomel II. Upon arriving to the States, Sasha attended Covenant College where he played for two seasons. During his freshmen year, Viatrov helped lead the team to the NAIA national tournament. Viatrov later transferred to John Brown University where he finished his college soccer career.

He also played for Chattanooga F.C. for two seasons in the National Premier Soccer League. In 2010 Viatrov helped CFC become a champion of the southeast region and a national runner up of the NPSL. Prior to arriving to Greenville, Viatrov served as a Technical Director for Fusion F.C. in Alabama.

He also has extensive coaching experience in working at youth club level, high school, and Coerver Coaching organizations. Viatrov holds a USSF license, NSCAA Level I Goalkeeping Diploma, NSCAA National Diploma, and NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.

Viatrov graduated with B.S. in Sport Management from John Brown University, B.S. in Marketing from Greenville College, and expected to graduate with his MBA from Greenville in May of 2015. Viatrov and his wife Sarah reside in Greenville.
