Cheerleading

Cheerleading plays a major role in athletics at Greenville College. Squads are formed for both football and basketball seasons.

Greenville College is blessed with some great talent and yet there is the opportunity for girls who have never cheered before to come out, learn, and be tutored by our more experienced cheerleaders.

Tryouts are held at the beginning of the school year, after students have arrived on campus, for the football season. Tryouts for the basketball season are held in November. Practices are usually held in the afternoons.

The squad is made up of women and men. Men add strength and enable the squad to make more progress with stunts.

In addition to cheering for athletic events, cheerleaders also participate in college parades and pep rallies as they promote the spirit of Panther Athletics.
