Glen and Maxine Crum Recreation Center

Directions
Crum Recreational CenterCompleted in 1993 as part of Greenville's 100th Anniversary and named for generous Greenville donors, Glen and Maxine Crum, in 1998, the Recreation Center serves a wide variety of purposes.  The building houses athletic offices as well as flexible facilities that can be converted into two tennis courts, batting cages, basketball courts, volleyball courts. It also contains an indoor walking track and serves as a training facility for multiple athletic teams.


H.J. Long Gymnasium

Directions
H.J. Long Gymnasium Greenville built the historic H. J. Long Gymnasium in 1961.  Named for the college's fifth president, the gym seats 2,000 enthusiastic Panther fans as they cheer for the volleyball and men's and women's basketball teams. The building also houses locker rooms, training facilities, and coaching and administrative offices.


E.G. Burritt Gymnasium

E.G. Burritt GymnasiumThe original home court of the Panther basketball teams was built in 1915 and named for Greenville's third president, Eldon G. Burritt.  This gym doesn't see the action it used to, but it still serves a purpose. Features include a climbing wall, training equipment, and a classroom.


Scott J. Burgess Tennis Complex

Scott J. Burgess Tennis ComplexThe GC tennis complex includes six courts.  The first two courts were built in the 1940's, the second two in 1973, and the last two were completed in 1995.  The courts were dedicated by Stan Smith in November 1974 in memory of Scott J. Burgess, a GC basketball player who died while still a student. The men's and women's Panther tennis teams are not the only teams to call these courts home. The local high school teams use them as well.

John M. Strahl Athletic Complex

John M. Strahl Athletic ComplexA 14-acre area just one mile south of the main campus, the complex was dedicated to former coach and athletic director John M. Strahl in April 2004. The complex includes the football, soccer, baseball, softball, and track and field training facilities.


Francis Field

Football FieldFrancis Field, the Panther football field, was completed in 1987 just before the Panther football team began their first season.  The stadium can seat up to 2,000 fans.

Soccer FieldFrancis Field, another part of the John M. Strahl Athletic Complex, is home to the men's and women's soccer teams as well as the renowned Greenville soccer fans.  The field, located one mile south of the main campus, was completed in the mid-1960's.  Recent improvements have included installation of new Bermuda grass, team benches on the east side of the field, a new kicking wall, and bleachers seating 500.

S.W. Andrews Fields


Soccer Practice FieldsLocated within the John M. Strahl Athletic Complex, S.W. Andrews Fields consist of two 80-yard by 120-yard irrigated soccer fields and a 100-space parking lot. The facility was completed in 2006 to serve as the primary practice facility for the men's and women's soccer programs.

Robert E. Smith Field

Robert E. Smith Baseball FieldDedicated to Greenville's ninth president on October 12, 1985, the Panther baseball field is one of the best around.  It's located next to the football and soccer fields in the John M. Strahl Athletic Complex only one mile south of campus.


Lady Panther Field

Softball FieldLady Panther Field, home of the softball team, boasts of a skinned infield, 200 foot fence enclosing the field, brick dug-outs and ample practice space.

Track

Directions
TrackGreenville now sports a newly refurbished, all-weather track.  Also a part of the Francis Field Complex, it was completed in 1985.

Fitness Training Center

Information
Fitness Training CenterThe Sports Training Annex was opened in Spring of 1987.  It houses 6,000 pounds of free weights, 21 circuit-training machinges, treadmills, stationary bikes, stair steppers, a walking track, an aerobics room with daily classes, men's and women's locker rooms with hottubs and saunas, and rehabilitation facilities.  An indoor lap pool was added in 1991 as part of the college's 100th Anniversary Celebration.
