Hall of Fame

In order for the traditions of the past to benefit the program of the future, the Department of Athletics has established a Greenville College Athletic Hall of Fame. The focal point is a permanent gallery in the lobby of H.J. Long Gymnasium. In addition, each Hall of Fame honoree is presented with a special plaque.

Criteria

The individual to be recognized must have been an outstanding athletic performer, outstanding coach, or friend whose identification with the Athletic Department has been unique and exemplifies the ideals and standards of Greenville College.

Athletic

An athlete is eligible for nomination to the Hall of Fame five years after the completion of his/her intercollegiate eligibility. They must have attended Greenville College for a minimum of two years.

Coaching

The coach to be recognized must have had a coaching tenure at Greenville College or been an alumnus that has demonstrated excellence in coaching outside of Greenville College. These individuals must have displayed a strong connection to Greenville College Athletics as well as the philosophy and ideals of Greenville College.

Order of the Orange and Black

The Order of the Orange and Black is the honor awarded to a student-athlete representing the highest ideals of Greenville College.

It is reserved for individuals who model Christian integrity, athletic and academic excellence, and student leadership which reflect the spirit, significance, and tradition of Greenville College. The inductee is selected from the athletic teams of the calendar year prior to the induction.
