Men's tennis winning streak ends at hands of Spring Arbor

A nine-match winning streak that started in mid-March came to its end Saturday as the men's tennis team was nipped 5-4 by Spring Arbor. A large crowd was in attendance as the sister Free Methodist colleges played their first match against each other in over 20 years.

The women's track and field team was led by second place performances by Abby Hill in the hammer throw and the 4x100 meter relay team as they earned 16 of Greenville's 21 points.

The baseball team was shutout 8-0 in game one and was trailing 6-2 in the fourth inning of game two in games against Webster on Wednesday. The second game will be concluded at a date to be determined.

The men’s tennis team ran their record to 10-2 (2-0 SLIAC) with an 8-1 win over Webster on Wednesday. Greenville swept the three doubles matches and won five of the six singles tilts.

Greenville senior Bruce Gray has been tabbed as SLIAC track athlete of the week. Gray, of Chicago, Ill., had three top two finishes over the weekend at the Greenville Select Meet.
