SAUGET, Ill. – Greenville baseball dismantled Webster University on Friday, May 4 at GCS Ball Park in Sauget, Ill. in an eight-inning, 11-1 blasting.

With the win the Black and Orange move to 13-8 in the SLIAC and eye a top seed in next week’s SLIAC Tournament. GC capitalized early in the run-ruled contest and never looked back.

Two Gorlok miscues opened up the floodgates for a Greenville College five-run third inning as the visiting Panthers put on a show at GCS Ball Park. Greenville opened up an 11-0 lead before Webster broke the shutout with a lone tally in the eighth.

Greenville and Webster go right back at it, playing a double header in Greenville on May 5. The start time of those games has been moved back to 5:00 p.m. from noon. Greenville has recently installed lights for its field and will host the Gorloks in the first ever home night game for the Panthers.
