ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The women's basketball team stumbled at Webster on Saturday as they were defeated 67-48 by the number two team in the SLIAC regular season standings. Greenville was led by sophomore Ieisha Adams who scored 13 points while grabbing a team high four rebounds in the losing effort.
Greenville fell to the disadvantage early as the Lady Gorlocks piled up a 40-20 halftime lead and extended that advantage to 52-22 in the second half. Webster shot 45 percent from the field for the game.
Despite the loss, the 13-10 (7-8 SLIAC) Lady Panthers have locked up a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament berth on Thursday, but they will first aim to defend H.J. Long Gymnasium on Monday, Feb. 21, against Spalding in the final regular season tilt of the year.
