Women’s Basketball Tops MacMurray On The Road 56-43

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The women's basketball team grabbed another key victory Saturday as they grinded out the tough conference win in Jacksonville, overcoming MacMurray College 56-43. The Lady Panthers were led by guards Ieisha Adams and Stacey Lawrence who both netted 10 points in the decision.

Sophomore center Katelyn Wise also aided Greenville in the winning effort, contributing nine points and seven boards in only nine minutes of play.

With the win, the women’s basketball team moved to 12-8 overall and 6-6 in SLIAC play. They currently sit at the six spot in conference and need to move to fifth to keep their hopes of post-season play alive.

The Lady Panthers will resume action on Monday as they travel to Eureka College to take on the Lady Red Devils in what was a previously postponed game that will start at 6 p.m.
