SAN ANTONIO, Tex. – The GC men’s soccer squad made the long trip to the lone star state on Saturday, facing off against national powerhouses Trinity and Southwestern.
Greenville dropped the first contest 1-0 to NCAA nationally ranked Trinity on Saturday night. GC then turned back around on Monday and posted an impressive 1-1 2OT draw against Southwestern.
“This Texas trip was incredibly valuable for a number of reason,” stated coach McMahon. “Our kids gained some irreplaceable experience against some of the best competition in the nation, and I am pleased and proud of how the team performed.”
Greenville College drops to 0-2-1 after the weekend road trip, and will look to pick up their first win of 2011 on Wednesday as they host Harris-Stowe at 5:00 pm in Greenville, Ill.
