CARLINVILLE, Ill. – Senior forward Andy Traeger led four Panthers in double-figure scoring, pouring in a game-high 28 points to lead the men's basketball team to a 95-84 victory at Blackburn Wednesday night.
Traeger and the Panthers got help from junior Markeith Brown who dropped 24 points and added four rebounds to aid Greenville in the winning effort.
Senior guard Jonas McBride netted 19 points of his own to go along with seven assists.
Greenville trailed the Beavers of Blackburn 42-34 at the half but shot 20-of-22 from the charity strip to edge Blackburn in the second half play and clinch the conference win.
Greenville (10-6, 6-3 SLIAC) returns to action Saturday, Jan. 29, as they will travel to Edwardsville, Ill. to take on NCAA Division I Southern Illinois Edwardsville.
