GC Baseball Drops Contest 10-5 to Milliken

DECATUR, Ill. – The Panthers suffered another setback on Wednesday afternoon as the Blueboys of Milliken University pushed past GC 10-5 at Sunnyside Park in Decatur.

Freshman Jared Massengill again led the Panthers offensively with a 2-for-5 effort at the dish and a season high four RBI in the defeat.

Sophomore lefty Tyler Mitchell (0-5) was charged the loss in the nine-inning affair, surrendering four earned runs on five hits with six walks in 2.1 innings of work.

With the loss Greenville Baseball drops to 4-12 in 2012 and will look for some encouragement as they open SLIAC play on Friday against Blackburn College.
