GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's track and field team has continued its ascent in the USTFCCCA NCAA Division III national rankings as the unit checks in at No. 14 this week. They previously held the No. 16 position on Jan. 29 and Feb. 19.
The men are led by the performances of two men -- junior Bruce Gray and senior Josh Kuusisto -- who currently have marks that rank in the top 13 of three events.
Gray leads the way with a first place ranking in the 200-meter dash (21.39 seconds) and a third place time in the 60-meter dash (6.80 seconds). Gray's 200 time was obtained at a meet on Feb. 21, and the 60 time was attained on Feb. 1.
Kuusisto, holding the nation's 13th spot in the weight throw, accomplished a throw of 59-11 (18.26 meters) on Feb. 8.
The men return to action on Saturday, March 1, at Wisconsin - Stevens Point.
