Men's Soccer Match Against Rhodes Cancelled In First Half

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- After 24 minutes of play and two Panther goals, tonight's game was cancelled due to unsafe weather conditions.

GC's goals came from Spencer Pulliam and Aaron Mulholland. Just 21 minutes into the first half, the referees saw lightning and were forced to call a 30 minute delay. Shortly after, they saw another lightning strike and when the storm looked as if it was not going to let up quickly, the game was cancelled. Unfortunately, the game's stats and results will not count for either team, as the required 70 minutes was not played before the game was called.

It is unknown whether the teams will reschedule the match, but more information will be posted when it is available.
