Mission Statement

The Media Promotions major will prepare students to enter the evolving world of media/music business that is being shaped by technology. This preparation includes the cultivation of analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to work and communicate with individuals, and within teams, on complex projects. Students will learn to integrate their Christian worldview as they develop and enhance specific strategies for promotion, publicity, management, artist relations, writing, and oral delivery of media promotional works while exemplifying moral and responsible Christian professionalism. The major emphasizes a broad-based, theoretical understanding while offering practical and technical skills necessary to enter the workforce as media promotional specialists.
