WELCOME TO THE February 2001 ISSUE OF ALUMNI
@ GREENVILLE.EDU
Dear Alumni,
Greetings on this cold, but sunny day in Greenville, IL. I just
drove down Elm Street,
navigating my way through students coming and going from classes,
and by the
busy construction site of the new dorm. This weekend I paid a visit
to the newly-
completed Dietzman Center, taking a few minutes to shop at our new
Family
Christian Store and making a stop at Jo's Java, the new coffee shop
in the Center.
These experiences, in addition to the daily enjoyment of working
with former GC
professors and classmates, repeatedly offer numerous blessings to
working on this
campus at this time. These thoughts lead me to mention two items
included in this
newsletter:
1. For those of you who have entertained the possibility of joining
us back here at GC,
new faculty openings were recently announced in the areas of Biology,
Music,
Math/Computer Science, and Math & Science Education AND the
Office of
Advancement is looking for a new director of Development to assist
with college
fundraising efforts. Job descriptions are available on our site
at:
http://www.greenville.edu/humanresources/.
2. Greenville College will dedicate the Dietzman Center facility
on March 10, 2001
in conjunction with the Grand Opening Celebration of Family Christian
Stores
and Jo's Java. More information on activities for this day are available
on our site at:
http://www.greenville.edu/campus/building/dietzman.shtml.
Enjoy the rest of this issue ... and thank you for your continued
interest in Greenville
College.
