to Perform Messiah in 71st Season

The Greenville Choral Union and Orchestra will begin their 71st
season with a performance of Antonio Vivaldi's Gloria in D Major
and George Frideric Handel's Messiah (Part I) on Sunday, December
2 at 4:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of the Greenville (Ill.) Free Methodist
Church.

in St. Louis Metro Area During Fall Semester's "Urban Plunge"

Nearly sixty Greenville College students journeyed to St. Louis
last weekend for the first of
two Urban Plunge outreach events this year. Organized by student
co-directors Jesse Dart
and Matt Snyder, Urban Plunge exposed students to the urban culture
to help them grow in character through a real life experience in
a service context.

Greenville College
individuals and one team at a banquet on April 20, 2002. Inductees
include: Pioneer
Category: Walter Scott (1921); Coaching Category: Lester Finger
(1943); Athletic Category:
Jo Ann Noble (1956), Tony Hubbard (1977), David Powell (1991); and
Team Category: Men's Tennis (1971).

Shapiro Chair for Jewish-Christian Studies

Greenville College announces the development of the Shapiro Chair
for Jewish-Christian
Studies. The announcement follows several years of initial work
as Greenville College
has sought to help students more deeply appreciate the foundational
elements of Judaism in their faith and culture. This fall, Karen
Strand Winslow was hired to a joint History/Religion position in
Jewish-Christian Studies representative of the planned chair.

Servant Leadership Award to Ruth
and the Late Frank Joy, Sr.

Greenville College recently honored the 2001 recipients of the
John and Shirley Minshall
Servant Leader Award - Ruth and the late Frank Joy, Sr. of Greenville.
They are fifth
couple to receive the award, succeeding the Minshalls, Howard and
Anita Krober,
Jake and Maxine Whitlock, and Watson and Bonnie Tidball.
