WELCOME TO THE MAY 2002 ISSUE OF PROSPECTIVE
STUDENTS @ GREENVILLE.EDU
Dear Prospective Students,
Greetings from Greenville College! In just a few short schedule-filled
days, we will wrap up
the 2001-2002 school year with our commencement weekend. It all
starts Saturday morning
with the Ivy Cutting ceremony and concludes Sunday afternoon with
commencement. We
invite you to come and experience it first hand.
In addition to this excitement, our athletic programs have great
news. The men's track and field
team recently won their second NCCAA national championship of the
year with their win in the
outdoor championships. They won the indoor national championship
earlier this year. Our
baseball team is currently participating in the NCCAA national baseball
tournament for the second straight year, and our football team has
a new head coach.
Students interested in coming this fall will be excited to find
out that we've put together
FINANCIAL AID PACKAGES for students who have been accepted. If you
haven't yet received your financial aid award letter, contact your
Admissions Counselor to find out what additional information we
need from you.
Enjoy the rest of this issue...and thank you for your continued
interest in Greenville College.

Soon after Dr. Karen Longman came to Greenville College as Vice

a simple but audacious prayer:
that God would send a $1 million gift to the college from "out
of the blue." That prayer was
answered, and then some, March 14 when GC President James Mannoia
