Greetings from Greenville College!

Homecoming activities and Parents' Weekend are scheduled for this week, and campus is starting to show the signs of fall. The leaves are changing color and the weather is getting cooler.

Those of you who are seniors in high school should definitely check out the Scholarship
Competitions and Preview Days that are coming up throughout the year. It gives you a fantastic
chance to visit the campus and interact with our students and faculty. Information on these
opportunities is included in the newsletter.

GC NEWS: DR. ANTHONY CAMPOLO TO SPEAK OCTOBER 25 AT HOMECOMING CHAPEL

Greenville College will welcome Dr. Anthony Campolo, an internationally recognized author and
speaker, to campus Friday, October 25, as the guest speaker for Homecoming Chapel. His address is titled, "What in the World Are You Doing?" The event is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. in the
Greenville Free Methodist Church. Dr. Campolo has authored 28 books and serves as a media
commentator on religious, social, and political matters. He has been a guest on television
programs such as "Nightline", "Crossfire", "Politically Incorrect", "The Charlie Rose Show",
and "CNN News." He co-hosted his own television series, "Hashing it Out", on the Odyssey
Network and presently hosts "From Across the Pond", a weekly program on the Premier Radio
Network in England.

Speaking engagements by Dr. Tony Campolo, a concert by the music department, the 50th
anniversary of WGRN 89.5 FM, various sporting events, and much more highlight the
annual Homecoming and Parents' Weekend October 25-27 at Greenville College.

next is scheduled for December 14, and there are three others before the end of the academic

GC NEWS: GREENVILLE COLLEGE ENROLLS AN ALL-TIME RECORD 1,200 STUDENTS

Greenville College has announced a record traditional undergraduate student enrollment for the
second time in three years with 970 students attending the institution this fall. Taking into
account the undergraduate adult degree completion program (GOAL) and the graduate program
in ministry (LAMP), Greenville has grown 27 percent from 955 students in 1997 to 1,215
students today.
