Financial Aid - Academic Scholarship Information
Greenville College is pleased to announce that we are dramatically increasing the amount of our academic merit scholarships for incoming freshman. All students who qualify to receive an academic scholarship are eligible to be our guests at a special all-access Scholarship Award Day.
- President's Scholarship
All students who qualify for the President's Scholarship will receive $8,000 per year, renewable each year for up to four years, provided students remain in good standing with Greenville College and maintain a 3.0 GPA. The award's total value is $32,000.
Minimum Qualifications
~ Currently Enrolled as a High School Senior
~ 27 ACT or 1210 SAT (combined math/verbal)
~ 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
~ Completed Application File with the Admissions Office
- Dean's Scholarship
All students who qualify for the Dean's Scholarship will receive $6,000 per year, renewable each year for up to four years, provided students remain in good standing with Greenville College and maintain a 3.0 GPA. The award's total value is $24,000.
Minimum Qualifications
~ Currently Enrolled as a High School Senior
~ 22 to 26 ACT or 1020 to 1200 SAT (combined math/verbal)
~ 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
~ Completed Application File with the Admissions Office
- Transfer Scholarship
All students who qualify for the Transfer Scholarship will receive $5,000 per year, renewable for up to three years, provided students remain in good standing with Greenville College and maintain a 3.0 GPA.
Minimum Qualifications
~ Member of Phi Theta Kappa or
~ 3.25 cumulative college GPA
~ Completed Application File with the Admissions Office

To compete in either Academic Scholarship Competition, you'll need to do the following:

We'll confirm your competition date and make your reservation. The competition has three parts:
- An objective test
- A writing sample
- An interview with a faculty/student committee

- Music Scholarships
The music faculty will be available in the afternoon of each of the Academic Scholarship Competition dates to hear auditions for the Music Scholarship. Any student majoring in Music, Music Education, or CCM may audition. Contact the music department at (618) 664-6560 for more information and for an audition time.
- Science Scholarships
Greenville College offers 15 scholarships worth up to $2,000 per year for students majoring in Physics, Pre-engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, or any related field. You can receive this scholarship in addition to the other academic scholarships listed, or even if you do not participate in the competitions. For information about eligibility requirements and the scholarship application process, contact your Admissions Counselor.
