Science Scholarship

For students with a major interest in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, or Physics (including engineering, pre-med, pre-physical therapy). They may earn up to $2,000/year.

Science Scholarship recipients will receive between $1000 and $2000.  Both essay evaluation and financial need are taken into consideration when determining award amount.  The Science Scholarship is renewable for four years, provided that the student maintains a 3.0 GPA at Greenville College.

Scholarship Requirements

1.Have a completed admission file (includes application, transcript and scores).
2. Planning to major in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, or Physics (or engineering, pre-med, etc.).
3. Submit the essay below to the Greenville College Office of Admissions postmarked on or before March 1.

Essay Instructions

1. Include your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address at the top, right-hand corner of your essay.
2. Write a one page essay of no more than 500 words on the following topic:

The Greenville College Mission Statement is:
"Greenville College transforms students for lives of character and service through a Christ-centered education in the liberating arts and sciences."

How will your goals for the future be enhanced by a Christ-centered education in the sciences?
** Essays and completed admission files will be reviewed and scholarship winner announced in April.
