Designated Giving

What is Designated Giving?

A designated gift to Greenville College provides an opportunity for alumni, parents, and friends to give to areas of special interest. Establishing and strengthening specific projects enables a new generation of Greenville students to experience the many benefits of a distinctive Christian college education. For alumni, a designated gift is one way for them to give something back to their alma mater.

  • Special Projects

    • WGRN the campus radio station plans to move from its present studio in the Communication Building into the Dietzman Center, the new bookstore/classroom building currently under construction on a site east of Armington Center. The move will double the space available to the station and increase its visibility on campus.

The new facility will greatly increase WGRN's effectiveness as a lab for students studying communications and broadcasting. Our goal is to raise at least $35,000 toward the construction costs of the WGRN portion of the Dietzman Center.

The following naming opportunities are available:
      $15,000 Entire studio *
      $8,000 On Air Studio
      $5,000 Newsroom
      $4,000 Interview room*
      $3,000 Manager room *
      $3,000 Engineer room*

The Communication Department will move from its current location in the old Communication Building to the second floor of the Dietzman Center where there will be four offices for faculty near the WGRN studio. Two classrooms will be available for use by all departments on campus. The following naming opportunities are available:

      $15,000 Office Space (4)
      $12,000 Activity Room
      $12,000 Lobby

    • Scholarships
Alumni and friends of the college have established over 125 named scholarships. Earnings from the funds and gifts provide scholarships for worthy students. Greenville College awards more than 2,000 institutional scholarships annually to first-year and upper class students. Individuals receive scholarships based on need, merit or both.

      Levels of general scholarship include:
      National Merit
