POSITION: Mailroom Assistant
CLASSIFICATION: Part-time, Staff, Non-Exempt, 18 hours/week
DEPARTMENT: Mailroom
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Supervisor: Mailroom

SUMMARY: Assist the mailroom in sorting and distributing mail. Provide additional mail and copying support services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sorting and distributing mail for entire campus.
  • Getting mail ready to be picked-up by Post Office.
  • Coordinating and preparing packages for delivery through USPS, UPS and FedEx.
  • Assigning mailboxes and keys.
  • Duplicating, sorting, collating, binding & folding for college employee jobs.
  • Coordinating and handling bulk mailings for USPS distribution.

Skills:

  • Effective people skills
  • Running various office machines (Copier, paper cutter, folding machine, postage meter, and collator)
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly, and self-motivated
