for the 1999-2000 fiscal year:
Unrestricted--$1,709,307.50 (goal
was $1.7 million)
Grand Total--$3,705,395.45 (previous
high was $3.4 million in 1997-98)

Relations
From the opening cookout and ice cream on Thursday to the closing
fireworks show on Saturday night, smiles, handshakes and hugs were
observed in abundance. Approximately 600 friends joined us for at
least one of the many events of the 2000 Summer Reunion Weekend.
A few of the highlights included music from three different singing
groups, an outstanding turnout for the 1950 reunion, an entertaining,
funny, meaningful alumni banquet with speaker Brock Brentlinger
doing a wonderful job of helping us to embrace the past of GC, and
the largest turnout yet for the Panther Golf Scramble on Friday.
During the weekend, the reunion classes opened their checkbooks
and donated over $11,000 to equip another classroom for computerized
teaching. What a wonderful show of support for their alma mater!
Of all the events that take place on this campus, class reunions
are something special. They bring us back to what is really important;
our love for Jesus, each other and Greenville College.

Claussen
Plaza Dedication, held on June 17 during Alumni Reunion Weekend,
welcomed Claussen & Page families and friends to campus. Claussen
Plaza and Page Circle were dedicated to the students of Greenville
College and in honor of Susan Claussen's parents, Clyde and Florence
Page. Claussen Plaza was made possible through a generous gift from
Jim '59 and Susan '58, '86 (Page) Claussen.

The
2000 Panther Golf Scramble, which raised
approximately $5,000 for Panther Athletics, welcomed 71 golfers,
comprising 18 foursomes, for the annual event. Kendell Stephens,
Brian Gansauer, Kyle Gansauer and Rick Stephens finished as the
winning foursome.
