Taking the Next Steps...

Campaign
Following the completion of the strategic plan, master plan and feasibility study, the Greenville College Board of Trustees prepare to move ahead in stages on a comprehensive campaign

The campaign may include:
Building the endowment
Capital projects: Music facility, Chapel, Art facility, remodeling in Hogue Hall, Marston Hall, Burritt Gym, Armington Center, and Sims College Union
Programs in education, St. Louis, and Africa
Ongoing annual fund giving

Trustees “step up” and take leadership with “First Steps” of the campaign by personally pledging to cover a longstanding internal debt to the endowment of $3.7 million.

External Communication
Enhance marketing and public relations efforts to spread the news of progress we have experienced in curriculum, in facilities, in financial accountability, in enrollment, and in technology.

Initiate a significant lecture series in St. Louis beginning Fall 2001. This series, entitled Christian Leadership Network, is funded through donor gifts and will help our story to be heard.

Internal Communication
Greenville College will build on its reputation for close community and achieve progress in identifying, affirming, and developing individuals and their respective gifts.

It is time for us to begin to shift our focus more and more to celebrating one another and our remarkably distinctive gifts. I believe focusing on our strengths can help us to appreciate the contributions each of us makes.
Let us make our “Next Steps” ones that build on our strength as a community, build on our momentum in so many exciting areas, and move us forward in our mission …

“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men. [And] to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.”
(I Cor 12:4-6)
