Factory Theatre Performance
of "The Odd Couple"
Get ready for an evening of fun and laughter as the Greenville
College Factory Theatre presents the popular comedy by Neil Simon,
The Odd Couple, November 6-10, at 7:30
p.m.
The Odd Couple recounts the well-known
story of the sloppy New York sportswriter Oscar Madison taking in
his cleaning-fanatic friend Felix Unger, after his wife throws him
out of the house. The two soon discover that the neatness of Felix
and the messy habits of Oscar don't mix. According to director Jill
Sussenbach, the results are disastrous, touching, and hilarious.
Michael Dando and James Turner fill the roles of the "odd couple."
Rebecca Joiner and Anna Moorman play their love interests. Oscar
and Felix's colorful card-playing cronies are portrayed by James
Iler, Dan Coulter, Aaron Morrison, and Corey Merriman.
The Odd Couple's creator, Neil Simon,
is unquestionably the most prolific and popular American playwright.
Author of 28 plays, he has won four Tonys, two Emmys, a Screen Writers
Guild Award, and a Pulitzer Prize. What is the secret to his success
on the stage? Oxford Companion to American Theatre says, "He
is a shrewd observer of human foilbles and a master of the one-line
gag."
Come and see the unforgettable characters and clever dialogue in
this entertaining and funny story - The Odd
Couple - at the Factory Theatre. The Factory Theatre is located
in the Kelsey Building on Harris Avenue in Greenville, Illinois.
