Greenville College to Host Producer Charlie Peacock

GREENVILLE, ILL. – Producer Charlie Peacock will speak at Greenville College Thursday, February 24, at 12:00pm in LaDue Auditorium.

Charlie Peacock is a popular singer, songwriter, record producer, musician, and author. He is a Grammy Award-winning producer and three-time winner of the Gospel Music Association's Producer of the Year award. In addition to working with scores of best-selling artists, he is the founder of the Art House, a center dedicated to hospitality, art, and biblical study. Charlie has been affiliated with and written songs for Audio Adrenaline, Amy Grant, Avalon, Margaret Becker, Switchfoot , DC Talk, Out of the Grey, Sarah Groves, Michael tait, CeCe Winans, and many more.

Charlie's production includes Switchfoot, David Crowder Band, Audio Adrenaline, Phil Keaggy, The 77's, Rich Mullins, Avalon, Margaret Becker, Brent Bourgeois, Bob Carlisle, The Choir, Al Green, Sara Groves, Kim Hill, Cheri Keaggy, Scott Krippayne, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Sarah Masen, Nichole Nordeman, Out Of The Grey, Twila Paris, and many others.

Charlie's honors include Grammy Award (for producer), BMI Pop Award (Four time recipient), BMI Million Airplays Award, BMI Two Million Airplays Award, BMI Songwriting Awards (Eight time recipient), Nashville Songwriters Association International Award, GMA Dove Award (Nine time recipient, including 3x Producer of The Year), Gold and Platinum Honors for over 15 million album sales (as songwriter and producer).

Charlie's book publications include It Was Good: Making Art to the Glory of God, The aWAKE Project, At The Crossroads: An Insider's Look At The Past, Present, And Future Of Contemporary Christian Music , recently re-released as a second edition with a forward by Molly Nicholas, and New Way To Be Human.

Charlie and his wife, writer Andi Ashworth, have two grown children and one granddaughter. They live in Nashville, Tennessee .
