BlueGrace to Perform at Patriot's Park on Saturday, June 15

Christian Bluegrass Band Precedes Fireworks

BlueGraceGREENVILLE, ILL. - Bluegrace, a Christian bluegrass band, will perform during Greenville College's sixth annual Alumni Reunion Weekend on Saturday, June 15. The concert begins at 7:30 pm at Patriot's Park just outside of Greenville. Fireworks, sponsored by Stephens Family Healthcare of Greenville, will follow the performance.

Bluegrace made their debut in 1992 at Elmbrook Church in Brookfield, Wisc. While the musical style of Bluegrace reflects the influence of bluegrass gospel, the band augments their arrangements with other forms of traditional American acoustic music including country, folk, Cajun, and the blues.

Members of the band include Barry Lee Campbell, lead vocal; Paul Mahn, vocal, five-string banjo, and resophonic guitar; Jeff Pronschinski, vocal and guitar; Andi Miller, lead vocal and fiddle; Dave Schroeder, bass; and Bobby Tews, drums.

In 1994, Bluegrace performed with Nancy Honeytree, appeared at County Stadium in Milwaukee, and was showcased at Cornerstone '94 in Illinois. They have also appeared with Big Tent Revival, played with Glenn Kaiser and Larry Howard, and ministered in over six prisons, including one in Romania.

The band's two commercial recordings, "Grace Roots" and "No Strings," have both received airplay worldwide. Their newest recording, "Through the Window," is scheduled for release in 2002.

Greenville College is a four-year accredited Christian liberal arts school with more than 1200 traditional undergraduate, graduate, and adult degree completion students. Founded in 1892 and affiliated with the Free Methodist Church, the college is located in Greenville, Illinois, 45 miles east of St. Louis.
