Greenville College Offers September 11 Memorial Service

Four Students and One Faculty Member to Speak

GREENVILLE, ILL. - Greenville College invites the community to a special memorial service on Wednesday, September 11 in remembrance of the tragic events occurring September 11, 2001. The service begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Greenville Free Methodist Church. It is being held as the college's chapel service scheduled for the day.

Four students will address the assembly on the topic "My Life, My World…One Year Later" in response to the effect of the day on their lives. Four faculty members spoke on the topic at the Convocation Chapel on September 3.

In addition to the students who are speaking, Brian Hartley, an assistant professor of philosophy and religion at Greenville College, will lead the community in a service of remembrance. A slide show with photographs from last year's events will also be presented.
