Greenville College Honors Faculty and Staff Service Milestones

Mulholland and Richards Recognized for 35 Year Commitment

GREENVILLE – Greenville College faculty and staff service milestones were recognized at a May 11 appreciation dinner. Presentations were made to thirty-one individuals for their long-term commitment to the Greenville College community.

Awards
35-Year Awards were presented to Royal Mulholland, professor of Education, and Ronald Richards, professor of Chemistry and head of the Department of Chemistry.

30-Year Awards were presented to Thomas Morgan, vice president for Student Development, and Hugh Siefken, professor of Physics, head of the Department of Physics, and chairman of the Division of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Computer Science.

25-Year Awards were presented to Vita Burney, housekeeping and laundry; Carol Breuer, supervisor of the mailroom; Cecelia Keener, professor of Communication and chairman of the Division of Humanities; and James Plett, professor of English and dean of Academic Affairs.

20-Year Awards were presented to Nancy Blankenship, associate professor of Business Administration and Economics, and Leon Winslow, professor of Science Education.

15-Year Awards were presented to Vickie Beaver, administrative secretary for the physical plant; Tamie Heichelbeck, senior executive secretary for the President’s Office; Jane Hopkins, director of Ruby E. Dare Library; Richard Stephens, Jr., professor of sociology, head of the Department of Sociology and Social Work, and Men’s Tennis coach; Norman Swanson, assistant professor of Business Administration and Economics; and Dennis Widger, HVAC/maintenance.

10-Year Awards were presented to Steve Heilmer, associate professor of Art, and Donna Oestreich-Hart, associate professor of English.

5-Year Awards were presented to Edwin Blue, professor of Education, director of Teacher Education, and head of the Department of Education; Janine Boyd, manager/project researcher; David Disch, director of College Relations and Marketing; Neal Frantz, assistant professor of Physical Education and Recreation; Grace Hoenig, secretary for the Department of Music; Richard Huston, assistant professor of History, head of the Department of History, and Men’s Soccer coach; Becki Jewett, executive secretary for the vice president for Student Development; David Kessinger, assistant director of Admissions; Rick McPeak, assistant professor of Ministry; Howard Olver, assistant professor of Ministry and director of the Leadership and Ministry Program; Irene Raymond, assistant professor of Modern Languages and head of the Department of Modern Languages; Jonathan Raymond, senior vice president for Academic Affairs; and Christopher Woods, associate professor of Music.
