The Greenville College Factory Theatre will produce The Emperor's New Clothes on April 4-8. a lively new musical spin on the classic Hans Christian Anderson tale , The Emperor's New Clothes presents a colorful spectacle that is sure to entertain all ages. Everybody enjoys dressing up now and then, but the Emperor's New Clothes reveals how a man's passion for apparel becomes a frenzied obsession. He squanders all his money on his extravagant and zany wardrobe. Fortunately, the Emperor learns a lesson at the hands of two scroungy schemers, and the play ends happily. This show has something for everyone. Adults and young people will find amusement in the clever dialogue and enjoy the musical numbers and humor. Children will delight in the face-paced action and colorful costumes and scenery. The costumes may qualify as the wildest, craziest apparel ever seen on the Factory Theatre stage. The Factory Theatre is located in the Kelsey Building on Harris Avenue in Greenville , Illinois . Show times are April 4 -7 at 7:30 pm and matinees on April 8 th at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.
