Ross Announces A Third Edition

Greenville College Professor Veronica Ross, head of the Communication Department, announced that a third edition of her textbook, “Questions of Communication: A Practical Introduction to Theory,” is being released. Ross said the book will be printed and available September 28.

Ross co-authored the book with Dr. Rob Anderson, a St. Louis University Communication professor. Their first edition was published in 1994, followed by a second edition in 1998.

Ross said the book addresses communication theory, and is designed for the sophomore who just declared a communication major. She noted that large and small universities across the country have been using the textbook because of its “middle of the road” approach between texts that are “less intense or too difficult.”

The third edition, published by Bedford-St. Martin’s, contains about 30 percent new material. In addition to new content, some material has been removed or reorganized.
