His professional experiences include nine years as outpatient clinic director for the Minirth Meier New Life Clinic of Dallas.

Jerilyn serves as editor of their materials, including published articles and radio broadcasts as well as first draft editor of Honey, Are You Listening?

She also speaks regularly at Women's Retreats nationwide on various relationship oriented subjects including communication between husband and wife, intimacy and relationship building.

Together they have conducted marriage workshops across the country, including seminars at Robert Schuller's conference retreat center in California. They speak on topics such as "The Pyramid of Relationships," "Raising ADD Children," and "Guidelines for Raising Children: Absolutes, House Rules and Preferences."

Chaz Corzine '81, recently authored his first book, Letters to Baby (Broadman & Holman, September 1997).

Inspired by the host of congratulatory letters he received upon the birth of his first child from some of America's most prominent individuals, Chaz compiled this collection of letters written to an anonymous new born child. Each letter offers words of inspiration, encouragement, sage advice and loving warmth and humor.

Christine (Chism) Coates '84, after serving for almost ten years as a member of the Alumni Association Advisory Board, recently accepted the office of president of the board.

While pursuing graduate work at SIU-E, she developed a computerized listing of alumni, assisted in the revision of the brochure and provided organizational support to the newly found alumni advisory board for the Mass Communication department.

Coates has also worked as a free-lance writer and consultant. She has offered her skills as both consultant and volunteer to counseling at crisis pregnancy centers.

Presently, Christy devotes a great percentage of her time to her husband Charles '74 and their two daughters, Fadra and Olivia. Actively involved in their church, she manages the adult library, assists her husband as Bible quizzing coach, directs VBS, and serves as a reserve delegate to the annual conference for the FMC Gateway Conference.

Brett Brannon '97 won the NCCAA National Men's Singles title this past spring. He also claimed the National Doubles title with partner Dave Dahlbeck '97.

Brett currently works at Greenville College as an admissions counselor covering Indiana, Michigan and the Chicago area. Due to his experiences with GC sport programs, he has made valuable contributions in the area of effective athletic recruiting.

Dr. Rick Stephens '77 was named SLIAC Coach of the Year for men's tennis this past spring. His successful coaching season culminated in a second place team finish at the NCCAA National tournament. Brannon, Dahlbeck and Chan Boriboun '97 swept the top three flights in singles.

Rick recently organized his third interterm trip to Russia. Following his return he completed the 2nd edition of Careers in Sociology, Allyn & Bacon Publishers.
