Greenville College in Africa is a new off-campus semester program
designed for students to consider the complexity and beauty of this
world as part of a holistic matrix.
Commitment to academic study is a requirement as well as introspective
spiritual contemplation. We want to engage both your heart and your
mind.
Academic curriculum includes the following courses:
SOC 306/MGT 306 Issues in Poverty and Development
BIO 307 Ecology of Southern Africa
PHL 306/REL 306 Religion and African Philosophy
HST 306/POL 306 Seminar on Southern Africa
ENG 306 Post-Colonial African Literature

The current schedule states that students will spend six weeks
at a home stay in Harare, Zimbabwe with a Shona family who is trained
regarding the nature and objectives of this program. Students will
also spend eight days in a rural setting, living in a mud/grass
house (cement floor) constructed for them in Mozambique, and one
month as a group, living in a beach guest house in Beira, Mozambique.
