Areas of Responsibility:
Because Greenville College’s alumni best represent
and promote the College’s mission, Alex serves to engage the
alumni in a way that enhances their relationship with the College.
More specifically, Alex seeks to broaden the base of alumni support
in the areas of student recruitment, financial giving, special events,
church relations and travel programs. Key functions of his position
include coordinating and facilitating the Alumni Association Board
of Directors, reunion programs, fall homecoming, regional events
and other special events on campus. Another important aspect of
Alex’s position includes maintaining the College’s relationship
with the Free Methodist denomination and its churches, as well as
developing new contacts with churches outside of the denomination.
Additionally, as In-House Counsel for the College, Alex is responsible
for overseeing and coordinating the legal affairs of the College,
as well as counseling the College on general legal matters.
Job Related Experience and/or Accomplishments:
During his time as a student at Greenville College, he worked
as a student employee in the Alumni Office under directors John
Strahl, Susan Chism, and Brian Ellis. After graduating from law
school, Alex worked as an attorney for two law firms in Chicago
for four years.
