Areas of Responsibility:
This is Coach McMahon's fourth year at Greenville College. His responsibilities
as the Men's Soccer and Women's Soccer head coach include running
practices, scheduling, and coaching. Coach McMahon also serves as
a part-time counselor for drug and alcohol problem students. He
gives general lectures to all the athletes on campus as well as
covering topics like drug and alcohol abuse and sexual harassment
team by team.
Experience:
Coach McMahon is now in his 11th year of coaching soccer. Before
coaching, he played at IWU for 4 years, receiving national honors
at the NCCAA level. He also played in the national tournament 2
years and lost in the regionals for NAIA the other 2. He played
professionally overseas in England, Ireland, and N. Ireland for
a year as well.
In addition to coaching soccer, Coach McMahon spent one year counseling
juvenile delinquents dealing with drug and alcohol problems. He
also worked in a hospital counseling adults with drug and alchohol
addictions.
