Student Life
Residence Life
Living in the residence halls at Greenville College will become one
of your most memorable college experiences. A residence hall is more
than just a place to sleep and study. It is here that you will make
lasting friendships, learn personal responsibility, and find a better
understanding of people who are different from yourself. It is a place
that will challenge you to grow spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually.
It is an exciting place that will surely enhance your time at Greenville
College.
Residence Life is more than just buildings where
students live. It is also a group of individuals who are interested
in making an investment in each resident who comes to Greenville
College. Each residence hall is staffed by a Residence Life team,
which includes a professional called a Coordinator of Residence
Education who supervises several student Resident Chaplains. Resident
Chaplains are students who live on the floors and provide direction,
guidance, and support for the residents.
Programming
Another function of the Residence Life staff is
to provide programming in the residence halls. Programs can be social
or educational and include such things as gender relationships/
differences, spiritual issues, cultural understanding, floor parties,
Roomies Night Out, Adopt-A-Grandparent, and brother/sister floor
activities. Previous campus-wide programs have included Back-to-School
Bash, Urban Plunge, Faculty Floor Parents, Midnight Breakfast, and
Spring Fling.
There are several residence halls on campus and
each is unique in design. Following is a description of each of
our buildings.
