Mapping the WWW on Lab Computers
The GC Web site is now located
on the WWW server (or the P drive) on the Greenville College network.
To access this server from any lab site, you must first "map"
the computer to the WWW server. The following instructions will
assist you in this task:
- After logging in to the lab computer, right click
"Network Neighborhood" and select "Novell Map Network
Drive ..."
- For device, select P:
- For path, type \\www\beta\website\www
- Check the "Check to make folder appear as the
topmost level" and
"Check to always map this drive letter when you start windows"
checkboxes.
- Click "Map."
- You now have read access to all files. You only
have write access to your personal directory and any pre-requested
deparment/program pages.
- You may also access these files from "My Computer."
Click on "My Computer." Click on "Www on 'Www\Beta\Website'
{P:}" to bring up the directory listing.
