Job Description

Full time position. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Agreement with the Statement of Faith for Temple Hill Baptist Church and the ability to work under the guidelines as listed in the church constitution. Expectations: To work in harmony with pastoral and support staff, relating in a manner that results in an effective and positive influence. To be an effective communicator of God’s Word in teaching, training, counseling, and discipling situations. To provide vision and programming for our families in accordance with the mission and vision of THBC. Personally connect with current members and new attenders, and work with the Pastoral Staff on assimilation of new families. To effectively recruit, guide, and train volunteers to actively serve in the ministry of THBC. The ability to give leadership and oversight to the Christian Education Committee, and to serve as an active member of the Ministry Board (elder board). Leadership Responsibilities: Student Ministries (6th – 12th grades). To develop an ongoing, strategic plan for reaching, teaching, and discipling students to be fully committed Christ followers. Effective communication of mission, vision, and direction with parents and church leadership. To recruit, develop, and train a team of adults for ministry with students. Coordinating and planning the student ministry curriculum, effectively communicating it to leadership and parents of current students. Coordinating, planning, and overseeing student activities and calendar, including timely communication and promotion of events with office staff (for church calendar purposes) and parents. To be responsible for the oversight, maintenance, and care of the church van in conjunction with the Trustee Committee and Office Staff. To be responsible for the development and management of the Student Ministry portion of the budget including accurate and timely financial reporting. Family Ministries: Oversee the weekly Sunday program for children age 0 – 5th grade (Nursery, Preschool, Club 631). Work with the Pastoral Staff to plan and implement the weekly Sunday service. Recruit, schedule, develop, and mentor volunteers. Coordinate, plan, and implement special events geared specifically toward young families in accordance with the mission and vision of THBC. To be responsible for the development and management of the Christian Education portion of the budget including accurate and timely financial reporting. Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
