Early Preparation for Graduation

To participate in Commencement, you must complete several tasks and meet certain deadlines.

Apply for Graduation: The application is just a way to let the Records Office know that you think you have completed all of your degree and major requirements and are eligible to graduate. Please login to my.Greenville and go to my Records to complete the Graduation Application.

Graduation Application

December and January graduates MUST to get their applications by the first day of the fall semester.

May and August graduates MUST submit their application by the first day of the spring semester. There will be no exceptions, so please do not delay.

The application will take less than five minutes to complete. Once we receive your application, you will be notified if you have been approved to graduate or if you still have outstanding coursework. The sooner you apply, the sooner we will be able to help you correct deficiencies if they exist.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Records Office at 664-7025.

Pick up your cap and gown in the GU Mailroom: You will receive an email notification from the mailroom staff when a cap and gown can be picked up. All traditional on campus students will be required to pick up their own cap and gown. If you are a December graduate, the mailroom will be open until 4 p.m before the Baccalaureate. After 4 p.m. the commencement staff will have the cap and gowns for late pick up. Please email commencement@greenville.edu to make special arrangements if needed.

Watch your student email for more information: Graduation information will be sent to your GU student email accounts.
