Part-time/$15 per hour/10 hours weekly; To provide biblical training for youth functions and ministries at Greenfield First Baptist Church in a clean, safe, nurturing and loving environment. We are a caring, family church looking to strengthen our impact in the lives of young people from ages 5th grade to high school with a youth intern working about 10 hours a week.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and coordinate some structured Bible lesson time for older elementary and junior high age students during Sunday Night Adult Small Groups.
• Develop and coordinate a high school component for the Wednesday Night AWANA program.
• Will be asked to work with the Sunday School teachers to assist in junior high and high school Sunday School classes.
• Work with pastor and church volunteers to coordinate events and participate in activities for youth within the church.
• Meet regularly with pastor to evaluate performance and reflect on ministry.
• Attend monthly Christian Education board meetings.
• Be responsible to the Christian Education board with updates, reports, and accountability.
• Have regular contact with the youth and families.
Required Qualifications:
• Reliab
le, flexible, innovative, creative, and a team player. • Must be organized and able to help schedule and coordinate with other volunteer workers.
• Some prior experience working with youth ages 5th to 12th grade.
• Be able to model their relationship with Jesus to others in a mature fashion.
• A desire to serve God through youth ministry.
• Able to foster positive and interpersonal relations in the congregation and community.
• Knowledge of developmentally and spiritually appropriate activities for age group.
• Able to identify, motivate, and enlist persons to participate in the various levels of the youth ministry
