Adult and Graduate Studies - Continuing Education - Common Core



Greenville College can help you prepare for Common Core State Standards with web-based continuing professional development sessions.

Each session will:

  • Provide background knowledge to understand the full intent and depth of grade level Common Core State Standards.
  • Suggest grade-appropriate activities, games, assessment tasks, and teaching strategies that you can put into immediate use.
  • Arm you with internet ready resources that are directly appropriate for each standard, saving you countless hours of searching online.
  • Connect you with other professionals at your grade level in sharing ideas related to each standard.

Sessions will be led by Karlene Johnson, Ph.D.

Quick Facts

Certificates are awarded for each CEU Non-Credit Course based on successful completion of minimum requirements. Upon completion, the participants will earn 2 Continuing Education Units (CEU) in Illinois, and teachers in other states may use their certificates to apply with their local school officials for consideration toward continuing education units in their home state..

Cost: $95 per session

Start Date: Sessions will be developed for specific ages and subjects beginning with K-2nd grade math. Check back for modules starting summer 2014.
