Marston Hall Smart Classrooms Print E-mail

The Smart Classrooms are Marston 101, 201, 202, and 301. Each of these rooms is currently equipped with:

  • Smart Podium containing:
    • Networked Computer with a DVD player in it
    • Smart Panel connected as the monitor
    • Room/Equipment switcher & Controller
  • Projector
  • Electric Screen (currently raised and lowered via buttons on the wall)

Marston 201 also has 30 student computers. This is NOT a student lab, it is a computer classroom and should be kept locked whenever a class is not meeting there. We will be installing a card access lock on this room in the not too distant future that will be accessible with your faculty ID card.

The Smart Classrooms also have a VCR/DVD/CD player, a visualizer (document camera that works like an overhead projector), audio amplifier with speakers, and a touch panel controller (to control the lights, VCR/DVD/CD player, audio amplifier, projector, screen, and switch the projection between the Podium PC, a laptop, the visualizer, and the VCR/DVD/CD player.)

The other two classrooms in Marston (102 and 302) will be equipped with all of the above capabilities EXCEPT the visualizer and the smart panel. These two rooms currently only have a podium with a VGA cable to hook up a laptop to the projection system.
